I made this a while back and it was very challenging for me.

My knitted creation

I decided try to make a knitted pattern from a sewing
pattern for a onsie that opens all up for preemies so to
not disturb the tubing and this is the result.

The blanket was purchased at savers for $2.99 and the lion head can be used for a tube or bottle positioner..the hat was knitted

Hot off the serger and sewing machine

There are six sets of these.

They include a diaper onesie, blanket, hat and booties for a preemie.

I think I was pretty cleaver with these. I bought these receiving blankets, three in a set for $3.00 and you notice that there was always one solid and two printed. I took the solids and made the onesie's......these are like the diaper shirts but are full onesie's. The hospital like these because they open all the way up and you don't have to worry about the tubes and ets.
