A crocheted burial gown for a little boy. It is so hard to find patterns for boys and kind of re-made this one so that it would have a little collar.

I made this Five hour baby sweater outfit for a young girl who has come up pregnant with no wedding ring at the health club I go to.....I had hoped to encourage her and she was delighted:) Felt it was perfect for her little girl that will be born in Jan.

Prior to my affiliation with NIN
I have been crafting for a long time for charity and I took pictures of a lot of the things I made and already donated before re-focusing this site so have decided to post pictures of some of the things from the past and from this point on I will title these "From the past"
This is a crocheted set that I donated to a hospital close to my home.

The pink set
Everything here was purchased at a second hand store. The little giraffe was on a Noah's Arc wall hanging that I bought for $3.00 and still have several little stuffed animals that I can use with other packages. The yard for the crocheted had and booties was also part of a package of yarn for a small amount of money and it was really nice yarn with a satin feel.

Meeting Day
Today is the monthly meeting for the chapter of NewBorns in Need that I attend/donate to. Here is the group of things that I will be taking today....................
One of the goals of this chapter is to create a two gallon bag that includes blanket, onesie/outfit, sleeper, 5 newborn diapers tied with ribbon, washcloth (most handmade) enclosing a bar of Ivory soap and tied with ribbon, toy, booties and hat and giving to those in need as they leave the hospital. This little group will help to make up one of those bags. They also give to preemie's in hospitals and to bereavement of Nicu.
Not to worry...I will give you a peek inside...starting with the little group that gave me the pain in the neck recently...............

Rebirth
I originally started this blog in 2007, as you can see by the archives, but began to feel I did not have enough specialized focus to warrant maintaining two blogs. I have since developed a passion for crafting for charity and decided to give it a rebirth with that as the new focus.
